After sifting through hundreds of entries to this year's Adopt a Club scheme, the judging panel decided Three Caps CC had the most potential, most energy and most interesting story to tell
After sifting through hundreds of entries to this year's Adopt a Club scheme, the judging panel decided Three Caps CC had the most potential, most energy and most interesting story to tell.
After travelling to the rural extremes of England last year with Mullion in South Cornwall, an inner-city club will offer a serious contrast. Being on the verge of moving into an as yet unbuilt ground offers a unique challenge.
So TWC have got together with the ECB, MCC and Chance to Shine to offer advice, coaching and days out. Slazenger will supply a junior and senior team with kit. Notts Sport, the UK's leading supplier of artificial cricket pitches, will donate one of its high-quality artificial turf pitches.
Sky Sports will send one of its commentators - who include a number of former England captains - for a coaching day. Cockspur Rum will supply bottles of rum as man-of-the-match awards for each home game. And Bio-Synergy will be on hand to provide energy drinks and supplements through the season.
There will be help for the ground, help for the wicket and regular stories in TWC as well as on the website www.thewisdencricketer.com/adoptaclub where you can follow Three Caps' season.
