Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga will lead a 12-member team under his name to play an Indian XI in two benefit cricket matches in Bombay.

The first match to be played at Saurath, a venue off Bombay on February 1 will be a benefit for a prominent Bombay cricketer.

The second game at the Wankhede Stadium on February 12 will be a benefit for former Indian Test all-rounder Abid Ali.

The team will return after the first match and go back 10 days later for the second.

The squad of 12 which left yesterday : Arjuna Ranatunga (captain), Aravinda de Silva, Sanath Jayasuriya, Roshan Mahanama, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Ravindra Pushpakumara, Kumara Dharmasena, Don Arunasiri, Duleep Samaraweera, Nishantha Ranatunga.
