- Aravinda De Silva got run-out for the 25th time in his career. He became the third Sri Lankan after Arjuna Ranatunga (30) and Asanka Gurusinha (27) and the ninth batsman in ODIs to get out in this fashion on 25 or more occasions in a career.
- Incidentally De Silva was run-out for the 11th time in 64 innings against Pakistan, which is the ODI record of most run-out dismissals by a batsman against any country.
- The catch of Mahela Jayawerdene was the 235th dismissal for Moin Khan in his 175th match. He has now made dismissals more than any other player in ODIs. Moin surpassed Australia's Ian Healy's tally of 234 dismissals from 168 matches.
