Australia give themselves a chance

Australia piled on the pressure on day four of the second Test, compiling and insurmountable lead to leave West Indies needing to bat out the final day in order to save the match and make the final Test a live match.

Providing Australia declare, as they surely will, then West Indies will face a nervy, testing time, but on a great pitch, they will fancy their chances of survival. Bet365 make the draw still odds-on at 8/13, but they are hedging their bets by making the Aussies as short as 5/4. West Indies, for what it's worth, is 28/1.

The way Brett Lee bowled on the fourth day bodes well for their chances but on a pitch as good as the one they are playing on in Antigua, they really should not be able to bully West Indies into submission.

That said, a couple of early wickets on the final day and the nerves could set in for what, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan apart, is a largely inexperienced batting West Indies line-up.

One of those two will probably need to stay around for much of the day to see them to safety, but their performance so far suggests they deserve it, so I'd say the 8/13 is a pretty good price, especially if there is any rain around.

Stuart MacGill will want to sign off his Test career in style but the way he's been bowling does not suggest he will be the one to skittle West Indies. You never know, though.
