The Hong Kong Cricket Festival, which this year won a prestigious award for cricket development from the ICC, has been growing in stature since the first event in 2002 and this year organisers expect over 30 club cricket teams to compete which would make the Festival one of the largest cricket sixes tournaments in the world.

Walters, who played 74 Tests averaging 48.26 for Australia and three times scored Test centuries in a session, said, "I'm really looking forward to the Hong Kong Festival. With 30 plus teams from around the world playing it should be a great weekend both on and off the pitch!"

Brad Tarr, the Festival Tournament Director said, "The Hong Kong Cricket Festival welcomes cricket teams and players of all ages and abilities. We have an Open Division for more competitive teams, the Spoon Division for social and occasional teams and players, plus a Women's Division which we introduced last year and proved very successful.

"We're also really looking forward to seeing Dougie Walters in Hong Kong -- he's a cricket legend and has a wealth of stories.

Come to Hong Kong for the Festival, it's going to be a brilliant weekend! " he continued.
