President Thilanga Sumathipala attended the ICC board meeting and the AGM. Vice President Mr. Muzammil attended the finance committee meeting and Secretary Mr. Mohan de Silva attended the cricket committee management meeting and the AGM. The President and his team returned from the ICC meetings in London, with good success and a guarantee for the future of Sri Lanka cricket - which, includes plans for a clearly defined international tour format.
A very busy tour schedule has been negotiated for the Sri Lanka `A' team which, will have 14 top grade tours commencing, September 2003 - February 2005 - a guarantee to provide a solid platform, good experience and excellent exposure for prospective Sri Lanka caps.
This is the first time in the history of the BCCSL such a comprehensive tour schedule has been negotiated and confirmed for junior and 'A', grade players.
Sri Lanka `A' will travel to South Africa, India, Zimbabwe, England, Australia and West Indies between September 2003 - February 2005.

3 four day games and 5 one day games
January/ February 2004
Sri Lanka to tour Zimbabwe for;
3 four day games and 5 one day games

Sri Lanka to tour New Zealand for;
3 four day games and 5 one day games

Sri Lanka to tour Australia for;
3 four day games and 5 one day games

Another first for Sri Lanka cricket, a complete rotational emerging trophy tour series has been formatted by the President and his team for a triangular between emerging teams from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The tournament will rotate between the 3 countries during a 3-year period. Each team would play against each other twice and the top two teams would feature in the finals.

Saturday 16th August 2003 - India vs Sri Lanka
Sunday 17th August 2003 - India vs Pakistan
Monday 18th August 2003 - Pakistan vs Sri Lanka
Tuesday 19th August 2003 - India vs Sri Lanka
Wednesday 20th August 2003 - India vs Pakistan
Friday 22nd August 2003 - Final
This could be followed by a triangular series of under-19 teams in Pakistan. The format of the tournament would be the same as the Academy Series.

This comprehensive format will provide valuable experience, condition and develop young cricketers, plus enable the BCCSL to identify potential national cricketers, who posses the caliber and mental capacity to graduate through, to play for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka under-19 to tour Pakistan for a triangular series with India & Pakistan.

3 one day games and 2 warm-up games
