With their victory Bermuda by an innings and 105 runs they easily won the Americas Region Intercontinental Cup and date in the semi-finals against Kenya in October. This is the second major honour for Bermuda this year having qualified for the 2007 World Cup by placing fourth in the recent ICC Trophy.
Cayman Islands playing in their first ever three-day match admitted it was a new and difficult experience but welcomed the opportunity to learn from the event.
Canada will now take on Cayman Islands on Wednesday for second place in the tournament, however weather forecasters expect heavy rains in the Toronto area from Hurricane Katrina and if correct this match could be reduced to a two day event.
