Barbadian Sherwin Campbell was yesterday appointed West Indies vice-captain for the opening Test against Zimbabwe starting today at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.
'It's a great feeling and an honour.
'I am looking forward to playing and to supporting Jimmy [Adams, captain] both on and off the field,' the 29-year-old Campbell said after his appointment was confirmed yesterday.
CBC-TV announced last night there would be live television coverage of the five-day Test on Channel 8, starting at 10 a.m. daily.
Meanwhile, as a result of low ticket sales, a very small crowd is expected for the first two days of the match.
Only 1 000 tickets have been sold for each day.
