Michael Hall, Ernest Hilaire and Donald Peters have been short-listed to replace Bruce Aanensen, who resigned in August, as CEO of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

A source from the WICB told CanaNews that the three candidates will be interviewed for the post next Thursday (October 18) by the WICB president, Julian Hunte, Chetram Singh, the Guyana Cricket Board president and Ken Hewitt, a non-member director of the WICB. The recommendations of the selection committee will then be discussed at the WICB's directors meeting on October 20.

Aanensen was involved in a number of disputes with the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) including the contracts issue during the build-up to the World Cup and the controversy over whether or not the subsequent tour to England was part of the ICC's Future Tours Program. His reign was brief but turbulent.

Hall has a strong background in sports business and is the former chief operations office of the WICB. He has also worked in various banking and financial institutions, including spending three years as the chief financial officer at George & Branday Ltd.

Hilaire was the CEO of St. Lucia's local organising committee for the World Cup, while Peters - the least known of the three - is a president of the College of Science, Technology, and Applied Arts of Trinidad & Tobago.
