The Zimbabwe Cricket Union is delighted to announce that the Logan Cup and National League which commences in January 1999 has been sponsored by the brewers of Castle Lager. The competitions will be known as Castle Lager Logan Cup and Castle Lager National League. National Breweries are dedicated to the development of cricket in Zimbabwe and this sponsorship will ensure that all clubs and provinces participating in the Logan Cup and National League will be receiving support to ensure that the very structure of league and first-class cricket is sustained in Zimbabwe.
The Castle Lager Logan Cup commences on 5 January 1999 with matches between Matabeleland vs. Mashonaland and Castle Lager National League commences on the 10th of January.
