Adams, 32, was injured during a net session, suffering a small cartilage tear. He expects to be out of action for another two weeks.
The former England batsman said: "It's been a very frustrating couple of weeks for me, especially as I was in good form prior to the accident.
"But I will be back playing very shortly even more determined to make my mark."
