Chris Adams has signed a one-year extension to his current contract which will keep him at Sussex until 2009. He will captain the county for an 11th season in 2008.
"I shall lead Sussex for as long as they want me or until an opportunity presents itself which takes me into a new era, new career or new direction," he told the local Argus newspaper. "I'm not sure whether my future is in coaching or administration.
"I would love to stay with Sussex because the club is very dear to my heart but we have two high-performing people in the top roles at the club so it is not going to happen in the immediate future."
