MCC's touring team won each match on its recently completed tour to Sierra Leone and Nigeria
MCC's touring team won each match on its recently completed tour to Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Six of the seven fixtures were won by convincing margins. However, MCC will measures the tour's overall success in terms of its long-term effect on cricket development in West Africa. The results were:
Thursday 23rd January (Kingtom Oval) Sierra Leone Colts XI vs MCC MCC won by 206 runsFriday 24th January (Kingtom Oval) Sierra Leone 'A' XI vs MCC MCC won by 257 runs
Sunday 26th January and Monday 27th January (Kingtom Oval) Sierra Leone 1st XI vs MCC MCC won by 10 wickets
Tuesday 28th January (Kingtom Oval) UNAMSIL vs MCC MCC won by 128 runs
Friday 31st January (Tafewa Balewa Square Cricket Oval) Nigeria vs MCC MCC won by 188 runs
Saturday 1st February (Tafewa Balewa Square Cricket Oval) Nigeria vs MCC MCC won by 3 wickets
Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th February (Tafewa Balewa Square Cricket Oval) Nigeria vs MCC MCC won by an innings and 43 runs
MCC's team was captained by Will Kendall and managed by Richard Ibbotson.

All such MCC tours are planned in conjunction with the ICC, to increase worldwide interest in cricket and enable emerging cricketing nations to assess the extent of their recent progress.
