CricInfo week gets under way in Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Primary School National Cricket Festival, sponsored by the international cricket website CricInfo (www.cricinfo.com), gets under way at Prince Edward School on Monday 11 December. The Festival runs for five days, starting daily at 09:30 and culminates in the selection of a National Under-13 side on Friday 15 December.

The top primary school children from around the country will be taking part. There are nine local sides, three from Harare and one each from Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West, Matabeleland, Midlands, Manicaland and South Eastern Districts. Northerns, from South Africa, will also be participating.

This is the nursery for the national team and there should be some good cricket played.
