Cricket Australia elect new deputy chairman
Jack Clarke has been elected as the new deputy chairman of Cricket Australia
Jack Clarke has been elected as the new deputy chairman of Cricket Australia. Clarke, 53, has been a CA director since 1999 and is the chairman of the board's Playing Conditions Committee.
Although his playing career was modest - he represented Glenelg in Adelaide's club cricket - Clarke has been on the South Australian Cricket Association board since 1987. Creagh O'Connor, CA's chairman, said the appointment of Clarke, who is an Adelaide-based partner in the national law firm Hunt and Hunt, was a positive move.
"Jack has been a hard-working servant on behalf of Australian cricket for many years and I look forward to working with him to ensure the continued success of cricket in this country," O' Connor said.
