CSA-BCCI meeting rescheduled to October 12

Cricket South Africa president Chris Nenzani's meeting with N Srinivasan, the BCCI president, to discuss India's tour to South Africa has been rescheduled to Saturday, owing to the change in Nenzani's travel plans.

ESPNcricinfo understands that Nenzani arrived in Mumbai on Friday evening and will meet with Srinivasan, BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel and treasurer Anirudh Choudhary along with top executives Saturday morning at Cricket Centre, BCCI's headquarters.

While CSA are hoping BCCI would agree to play three Tests and as many ODIs, the BCCI camp was non-committal about the tour. Even though Patel had told ESPNcricinfo two days ago that they were "very positive" about the tour, the fate of the tour will be finalised tomorrow.

It is understood that the BCCI would discuss the tour itinerary, which has been hanging in the balance ever since it objected to fixtures a day after CSA announced them in July, only after "all the impending issues" have been resolved.

There is no clear indication as to what those impending issues are. The meeting on Saturday will take place without the involvement of CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat.

Lorgat's appointment earlier in the year is said to have worsened the relationship between the two boards. During his stint as the ICC chief executive, Lorgat was involved in a tussle with the BCCI over various issues. As a result, the BCCI expressed its reservations to CSA before it appointed Lorgat as the CEO.

It was later revealed that during the course of applying for the post of CSA chief executive, Lorgat had presented a reference letter from former BCCI chief IS Bindra, who happens to be persona non grata in the existing BCCI set-up.
