CSK making effort to improve away record - Fleming

Chennai Super Kings have built up a reputation of being difficult to beat at home. They boast a very good record at Chepauk across seasons, and in IPL 2013, though they began with two losses there, they've since won four on the trot at home. Away, this year, they've won four in four. According to coach Stephen Fleming, Super Kings have made a concerted effort to improve their away record. "We certainly have honoured ourselves when it comes to our home record. This year we have made a real effort to be good travellers and we have been doing it well," Fleming said ahead of the team's match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede. "Chennai and Mumbai have a little bit of history already. They have had hard fought games and Mumbai has had the better of us. So we are very determined to play well here." That many teams have been doing consistently well at home is a good sign for the tournament, he said: "I think it's great if there is home and away advantage and disadvantage. It really adds to the competition. When you go away it's a tough game with a tough crowd and if you win, the conditions make that victory much better."

Pollard's finger not fractured
Mumbai Indians had an injury worry ahead of their clash with Chennai Super Kings, with the big-hitting Kieron Pollard having an issue with his finger. Speaking on the eve of the match, keeper Dinesh Karthik said: "Regarding Pollard's finger injury, the call will be taken before the match. He has been practicing, so I'm sure he's feeling better. I don't know what exactly it is, but I know it's not a fracture."

Shah Rukh Khan breaches KKR dressing-room protocol
Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan has apologised for entering his team's change room during their match against Rajasthan Royals on Friday, in what a breach of dressing-room protocol. As per a report in the Times of India, Khan had gone to the dressing room in the mid-innings break, and was asked to leave. "It's my face...people stop me from going to lot of places in stadiums nowadays. I just wanted to tell Gambhir 'well done'. I am sorry, it's my mistake. I forget the rules sometimes," Khan said after the match. "I will try not to do it again, so that I'm not banned from here [Eden Gardens]." The actor was banned from the Wankhede last season, following an altercation with stadium security as he attempted to enter the field of play after Knight Riders' match there. That ban was for five years, and has not been relaxed this season.
