Damp pitch sees East-Central share points

The Deodhar Trophy Match between East Zone and Central Zone was called off at 1 p.m. on Sunday after overnight rain rendered the pitch at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao, unfit for play.

While the Central Zone captain was brave enough to agree to play the East Zone skipper adopted the more pragmatic course and refused. With the match being called off as a result the two ended up sharing two points each.
