Darren Lehmann ruled out of second 3 Test

Cricket Australia today announced that middle-order batsman Darren Lehmann has been ruled out of the second 3 Test against Zimbabwe, beginning this Friday (17 October) in Sydney.
Diagnostic scans taken earlier today have revealed that Lehmann is suffering from acute inflammation of his left Achilles tendon.
He has been ordered to rest following consultation with leading foot and ankle specialist Dr Martin Sullivan and Australian team physiotherapist Errol Alcott.
Lehmann, who does not have to undergo surgery, will be reviewed again by Dr Sullivan in mid-November.
While disappointed to miss the Test against Zimbabwe, Lehmann said he was determined to fix the problem for the good.
"I'm really disappointed to be missing this match, but I'm realistic enough to know that I could suffer further damage if I do play," he said.
"My main focus right now is to try and get things right for good.
"I did a lot of running during our break prior to the Perth Test and according to Dr Sullivan that's where I aggravated the Achilles."
Australia's line-up for the second 3 Test is still to be confirmed.
