1 Delhi were looking to go hard at the new ball but Narwal took out the explosive duo of David Warner and Virender Sehwag in his second over. He yorked Narwal and bounced out Sehwag.

2 On a pitch assisting turn, Shane Warne tossed the ball, slowed the pace and varied the trajectory but Gautam Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik played him with respect, knowing that they can go for runs against the lesser bowlers

3 Karthik went after Shaun Tait in the 18th over with an hat-trick of fours - a drilled straight boundary, a skilfully whipped on drive and a deliciously timed cover drive as runs came in a flood.

4 So much depended on Yusuf Pathan but he was done in by spin. Amit Mishra slowed up the pace, shortened the length and got it to turn away from the off stump. Yusuf was made to wait and he blasted it straight to long-on.
