After having done well enough in bowling out the Delhi side for 156 runs in 46.5 overs, the PCB Greens were themselves dismissed for a poor 79 in a matter of 37.2 overs. Opening bowler Amita Sharma claimed her second consecutive Woman-of-the-Match award, as she took 2 for 10 runs in five overs, that included the wickets of PCB Greens opener Taskeen Qadeer for a duck and skipper Sana Javed (8).
In addition, Amita ran two batsmen out and also held a catch in the field. Both her wickets were leg-before victims. In the previous two one-dayers, both played in Lahore on Friday and Saturday, Delhi Blues had emerged as winners, by 41 runs and seven wickets, respectively. Yesterday, wicketkeeper and opener Gurdeep Kaur top-scored for Delhi with 40 runs off 60 balls, that included seven fours. Extras also amounted to 40, with the help of 35 wides.
Extras were the top-scorer with 20 runs in PCB Greens' small total. Shumaila Mushtaq and Asmavia Iqbal contributed 12 runs each with the bat. Offspinner Sajid Shah took 3-33 in her 10 overs while Asmavia, with the new ball, and legbreak bowler Urooj Mumtaz picked up two wickets each. For Delhi, legspinner Pooja Rawat bowled 4.3 overs and took 3 for 6.
