Dominic Cork has been awarded his Lancashire county cap by the club's president, Sir Dennis Landau, in a brief ceremony on Wednesday morning at Old Trafford.
Cork, who joined the county this season from Derbyshire, has picked up 54 wickets in all competitions, including three five-wicket hauls, and over 600 runs, including three fifties and an 81-ball century in their championship match against Surrey.
"Dominic is a talented and valuable member of the team and I am delighted to be able to congratulate him on receiving his county cap," said Lancashire's chairman, Jack Simmons. "He's been a wise addition to the squad and I hope that he goes on to provide the club with many more exciting innings."
