The incident, which is in violation of Article 2.2.7 of Cricket Australia's code of behaviour - throwing a ball at or near a player or player support personnel in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner during a match - was reported to the match referee Bob Stratford, who proposed the suspension. Bollinger pleaded guilty and accepted the penalty, leaving no need for a hearing.
He will have to sit out when his side hosts Victoria on October 20.
