Be'er Sheva moved to the top of the Division 1 table despite only managing a draw against Neve Yonatan. Dimona C and Ra'anana 1 played out to an exciting draw as well, whilst in Division 2, Ra'anana 2 made it two wins from two matches with a 2-wicket win over Tel Aviv.
Be'er Sheva A recovered from a shaky start to reach 240/9, thanks to an invaluable 123-run 7th wicket stand between Moshe (85) and Avner (51) Charikar. Aby Daniels scored 72 as Neve Yonatan managed 200/7 in reply.
The game between Dimona C and Ra'anana 1sts in Dimona on Friday finished in the most exciting of draws, with one of all three results possible going into the final few overs. A depleted Ra'anana side earned the draw as the last pair of Matthew Birt (41*) and Daniel Bergman survived the last three overs, a result they could have only dreamed about having collapsed to 22 for 3 in reply to the hosts 249. However a 110-run 6th wicket stand between Adrian Vard (70) and Birt had Ra'anana thinking of victory with 54 required off 6 overs, thoughts that quickly turned to saving the match as Levy Divekar bowled Vard and Yisrael Ben grabbed two wickets in successive balls. Earlier Avraham Lincoln (39) and Betzalel Talkar (25) patiently built the Dimona innings with a 56-run 3rd wicket partnership, after Gerrit Grundling (3/55) had removed both openers. Safania Nagavkar (27) and Jacky Divekar (27) played positively in the latter stages of the innings as Dimona almost managed maximum batting points. Vard took 4 for 46.
Ra'anana 2nds sit top of Division 2, having completed a two wicket win over Tel Aviv at Hadar Yosef on Friday. Steve Leigh (88) and Dovi Myers (28) added 81 for the second wicket to lay the foundation for a competitive score of 179, however Ra'anana managed to reach their target with two wickets in hand, thanks mainly to an opening stand of 88 between Gavriel Kaufman (33) and Charlton Book (65), and despite figures of 4 for 23 by Stanley Perlman.
