Kent's Robert Key (177) and Middlesex's Andy Strauss (113) both made centuries after the ECB National Academy had lost the toss and been put into bat at the Henley Oval. Warwickshire's Ian Bell (49*) and Hampshire's Derek Kenway (13*) were the not out batsmen at stumps.
