The odds may seem a bit stingy but that's before you look closely at what's happened in the previous meetings between the two sides in Pakistan. In 21 matches, Pakistan have won just two, England have won just two and there have been 17 draws. The dusty, lifeless pitches traditionally do not lend themselves to results, and in fact, only just over 50 percent of Tests in Pakistan have ended in a result.
When bet365 first opened their book on the correct score markets, they were notable for their cautiousness, with a 1-1 draw the 3/1 (4.00) favourite. That price is still available, but it's worth noting that a 1-1 draw has never happened in series between the two in Pakistan. A 2-0 England win is also holding steady at 9/2 (5.50) while a 1-0 win for the tourists is 5/1 (6.00). A 2-1 win is 7/1 (8.00) and a 3-0 whitewash is 12/1 (13.00), out from 11/1 (12.00).
If you fancy Pakistan to win it, then you can get 13/2 (7.50) that they pinch it 1-0, while a 2-0 win is now 9/1 (10.00) from 17/2 (9.50) and a 2-1 victory is also out to 10/1 (11.00) from 9/1 (10.00). The rank outsider is a 3-0 win for the home side, which is a 22/1 (23.00) punt.
Somewhat surprisingly, the 0-0 draw, which has been the correct result in three of the seven previous series between the two sides in Pakistan, is a distinct long shot, though it has come in slightly, to 12/1 (13.00) from 14/1 (15.00). Expect that to come in even further as the series nears and the early tour matches are taken into consideration.
