England women to tour India for limited-overs series
The world champions and World Twenty20 champions will be playing five one-dayers and three Twenty20 matches, the BCCI said in a release
The England women's team will be touring India for a limited-overs series in February-March this year. The world champions and World Twenty20 champions will be playing five one-dayers and three Twenty20 matches, the BCCI said in a release.
The tour will open with a warm-up match against Board President's XI in Bangalore on February 17. The city will also host the first two ODIs on February 19 and 21. The next two matches have been scheduled for February 24 and 26 in Visakapatnam, with Mumbai's MIG stadium hosting the final ODI.
The three Twenty20s will be played in Mumbai again, with the first at the DY Patil Stadium and the remaining two at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
Incidentally, two one-dayers were scheduled for Hyderabad, but given the fragile political situation, the matches have now been split between Bangalore and Mumbai.
The teams last played a series, in England in August-September 2008, when India were thrashed 4-0 in the five-match ODI series, and the only T20 was washed out.
