Episode Fourteen - High Row Rotation
An important part of cricket conditioning is the development and maintenance of the shoulder stability. There are very few professional cricketers out there who haven't, at one stage or another, struggled with shoulder pain or discomfort. The high row and rotation is an effective exercise that looks into this aspect of shoulder and scapula stability. There are a wide variety of "rotational" shoulder exercises and movements. Most of these are done with a band but can also be performed with a cable and a light resistance or weight. An important factor to keep in mind is the endurance aspect of the shoulder/scapula stability. Control of the movement is important, but also the number of repetitions as this is primarily a maintenance exercise that does not require heavy resistance or weights.
