Secondary school participants have thoroughly enjoyed the participative Super 8 structure where everybody gets a turn to bat and bowl. Nigel Marsh, community cricket coordinator for Sydenham and Lancaster Park Woolston, said: "the format has attracted a number of cricketers from the 'non-traditional' cricketing schools, which has been a positive spin-off from this innovative competition. We are hopeful that many of these players may continue their involvement with the sport in the future."

Anyone who has not witnessed this exciting form of the game is most welcome to enjoy the action at Sydenham Park, corner of Colombo and Brougham Streets, on March 19 and 26.
