Pakistan's brilliant bowling attack put paid to favourites South Africa in the semi-finals, while Sri Lanka, too, had too much with the ball for West Indies.
And so we are set for a cracking final between two hugely attacking sides, both of whom prefer to bat first and defend totals, using their great variety to brilliant effect.
Bet365 make Sri Lanka 4/6 favourites and Pakistan 6/5, but like I said, I would definitely wait to see who bats first before parting with your cash.
In theory, Sri Lanka probably have the edge. Not only do they have two great spinners in Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis, they also have good seamers and a better batting line-up than Pakistan's, which can be fragile.
That said, there has been something about the way Pakistan have played since the Super Eights that make me think this just could be theirs for the taking.
If Shahid Afridi can produce another performance like the one he did in the semi-finals, then Pakistan will take some stopping. It really should be a cracker.
