Faisal Athar out of action for 10 days
Press Release: PCB on Faisal Athar injury
Faisal Athar has been ruled out of action for at least 10 days after he was injured on Wednesday during Pakistan's tour match against Northamptonshire at Northampton.
Faisal received seven stitches on the fourth finger of his left hand after he received a deep cut from the spikes in Bilal Asad's shoes. As Faisal dived to stop the ball crossing the mid-on boundary, Bilal, who was following Faisal, jumped over him and by accident landed on his hand which resulted in the injury.
Other than Faisal, there are no injury worries though Danish Kaneria has a slight strain of his left hamstring. He, however, is participating in the training sessions and hopes to be available for the first one-day international against England to be played on June 17 at Old Trafford.
