Stephen Fleming said he was confident New Zealand would have no behavioural issues during the World Cup, despite staying on the same island where late-night drinking caused problems for England. Fleming said his side had no curfew in St Lucia, unlike England, who fined six players for breaking their deadline and dumped Andrew Flintoff for one match for his indiscretions.

"No doubt there's temptations over here - there's a lot of places to go out but we've been working hard on making sure the guys understand their responsibilities," Fleming told NZPA. "We've never had a curfew, it's down to personal discipline and our discipline's been pretty good over a long period of time."

Fleming was "surprised" by the actions of Flintoff and the five other England squad members after the team's loss to New Zealand on Friday. England had only two days until they faced Canada - a game they won comfortably - and while five players were fined, Flintoff was dropped for the match.

"If they had a week to their next game I don't know if there'd be an issue," Fleming said. "I guess they've got some issues to work through."

New Zealand's celebrations after their win were low-key, according to Fleming. "We had a couple of beers at the house bar and that was it," he said. "We were pretty excited with the win but it's by no means job done." New Zealand play Kenya on Tuesday and the winner of that clash will sit on top of the Group C table.
