James Franklin, the New Zealand left-arm seamer who is playing for Glamorgan, has been penalised by the ECB for bowling two dangerous full tosses during Glamorgan's recent Twenty20 clash against Gloucestershire.
Franklin was reported by the umpires, George Sharp and Rob Bailey, for bowling two consecutive full tosses towards the end of the match. He was immediately removed from the attack and replaced by Richard Grant who bowled the last ball of the over.
As a consequence, Franklin has received three penalty points, for a level two breach, which will remain on his record for a period of two years. Should he incur a further six points, taking him to nine, he would face an automatic suspension.
