KwaZulu-Natal needing 219 runs to gain the bonus point that would have seen them through on a better net run rate were bowled out for 207 with four balls to be bowled. Just reward for Eastern Province who put together a string of victories to finish the season on a high note.

The win has given the Jumbos the chance to meet high riding Gauteng in the first of a three leg semi-final starting at Port Elizabeth on the evening of 15th March and then moving to Johannesburg for the second leg on Friday night 17th March. If required a third leg will be played on Sunday the 19th March.

The good news for Gauteng is that Clive Eksteen and Daryll Cullinan will be back from international duty, Ken Rutherford back from a visit to Ireland and those injured, off the physiotherapists bed.

The other semi-final will be contested between Boland and Easterns with the first leg taking place at Benoni on Wednesday 8th March. The second and third legs will be played at Paarl on the 10th and 12th respectively.
