Get over Indian pitches

Instead of blaming the Chennai pitch for their debacle, Greg Baum, writing in the Age, asks the touring Australians to focus on how to adapt to the Indian pitches. The 'home advantage' is justifiable and isn't the demon it is made out to be, he reasons.

When Australia's sense of affront subsides, and we remove our partisan blinkers, we might appreciate Chennai as cricket from and in another dimension, a game for mystics and genies.

Australia's challenge now is to make a molehill of this mountain. It does not mean reinventing the wheel, but it does mean giving it another spin.
