The Rest of the World's batting has left a lot to be desired in the first two matches, with Kumar Sangakkara, Andrew Flintoff and Chris Gayle honourable exceptions. However, bet365 clearly believe that some of the men who failed in the first two games will come good. Jacques Kallis is joint favourite at 4/1 (5.00) with Virender Sehwag, who looked in great touch before losing his wicket on Friday. Brian Lara, another due to hit form before long, is 9/2 (5.50), as is Gayle, who plundered the Australia attack early on in game two. Sangakkara is also a 9/2 (5.50) chance and he may get plenty of money after half-centuries in both matches. Rahul Dravid, a fantastic player but probably better in Test cricket, is a 5/1 (6.00) bet, while Flintoff, who has looked superb so far, is 13/2 (7.50). Kevin Pietersen, who suffered from cramp on Friday and has struggled so far, is available at 7/1 (8.00).
Of the other markets, Gilchrist and Flintoff top the Man of the Match betting at 9/1 (10.00), while Sehwag, Ponting, Kallis and Symonds are 10/1 (11.00). Australia are 8/11 (1.72) to have the best opening partnership, while the home side are 6/4 (2.50) outsiders, to the Rest of the World's 9/10 (1.90) to hit the most sixes in the match. And it's 8/11 (1.72) that the Rest of the World outscore Australia (evens, 2.00) in the first ten overs.
