Gilchrist to face Australia in one-off Twenty20 match

Adam Gilchrist is set to line up against Australia in a one-off Twenty20 match at the Gabba next month. Gilchrist has been confirmed as part of the Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) All-Stars side that will take on a full-strength Australia team in the lead-up to the start of Australia's home international season.

Cricket Australia said the All-Stars side would also feature other "returning icon players". Although no other big names have been confirmed, Glenn McGrath would be a likely option and Darren Lehmann, as the president of the ACA, might also take part.

Gilchrist retired from international cricket last season and made his final appearance at the Gabba against India on March 4. Since then, his only outings have been for the Deccan Chargers in the IPL.

In the next few weeks Cricket Australia will announce the rest of the All-Stars squad. The match will take place on November 14, a week before Australia's first home Test of the season, against New Zealand also in Brisbane.
