Gillespie's Yorkshire debut delayed

Jason Gillespie's debut for Yorkshire has been put on hold after his recall to the Australian side for their tour of Bangladesh. He was due to be available from the start of the season, but now won't arrive until late April.

Gillespie was expected to make his first appearance against Nottinghamshire, the defending county champions, at Trent Bridge on April 19.

However, despite his delayed arrival Gillespie will still have ample time to make his mark at Headingley. He will play a key role as Yorkshire aim to consolidate on their promotion back to Division One of the County Championship.

Gillespie is joined at Yorkshire for the season by Darren Lehmann, his South Australia team-mate, who returns after taking a break from county cricket.
