Girls enjoy coaching session with State Canterbury Magicians

The heat of last Saturday saw 60 young aspiring girl cricketers participate in a coaching session taken by the State Canterbury Magicians. The girls rotated around six coaching stations and were given some important coaching points.

Once the session was completed the girls finished with a limited overs game.

Organiser Vicki Burtt said "it was a wonderful sight to see all the girls at the park, also the support they were getting from their keen parents.

"I am sure there will be players from the group who go on to play for the State Canterbury Magicians in the years to come."
