Gloucesterhire decide on Spearman as vice-captain

John Bracewell and Mark Alleyne have decided that Craig Spearman will be the vice-captain for 2003.

John Bracewell explains "we did without a vice - captain last year and only selected a stand-in captain when required. Prior to that we selected a vice - captain in a lieutenant (supporting) role. This year, with increased competition for places in the team, we have decided that the vice-captain should be able to captain the side in both 4 day and one day matches if required as well as playing a full part in selection".
