Once they had bowled Dorset out for 91 by mid-afternoon on the first day, Hampshire were firmly in the driving seat.
Paul Cass (3-12), Naqeeb Ali Mohammed (3-28) and two-wicket pair Chris Wright and Ed Davis did the damage as Dorset were skittled.
Cass (85), Chris Lyon (56) and Wright (33) took Hampshire's reply to 233-4 by the end of the first day - Jon Richardson (41) and Ed Brogan (38) moving the final total on to 303-4 declared.
Parley's Nick Park (82) held up Hampshire's progress when Dorset batted again. But Wright (3-36), Ben Neal, Cass and Richardson eventually bowled Dorset out for 227, leaving Hampshire the formality of scoring 17 runs to complete a ten-wicket victory.
Hampshire should qualify for the last eight provided they do not lose to Cornwall, the second-placed team in the south-west group, at Burridge, starting on Wednesday, 11am.
