Harry Burden match cancelled

The annual Harry Burden Memorial cricket match between Somerset and a Taunton Invitation Eleven which was due to take place on Monday August 6th at The County Ground has been cancelled.

In view of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy semi-final match against Warwickshire on August 12th Somerset have brought their four-day match against Leicestershire forward and it will now start on Tuesday August 7th. In view of this Somerset have reluctantly called the game off.

Whether the game will be rearranged at a later date is uncertain.
