The 2001-02 West Indies tour to Pakistan was shifted to Sharjah and during the second ODI played on 15 February 2002, Mohammad Sami took a hat trick. He dismissed RD Jacobs, CD Collymore and CE Cuffy in consecutive balls. He thus became the 15th bowler overall and the 8th Pakistani to have taken wickets on three consecutive balls in limited over international cricket.
