Hawke's Bay wins Central Zone tournament on run rate

Hawke's Bay won the Central Zone under-17 tournament in Wanganui today by virtue of its higher run-rate differential.

Hawke's Bay's final total was 11.5, Taranaki 6.9 and Wellington 3.7.

Taranaki v Wairarapa Wairarapa 85 (E Lancer 40*; Anita Waugh 3-12, Aimee Mason 2-13) lost to Taranaki 89- 2 (T Street 28, A Mason 19*) by eight wickets.

Wanganui v Manawatu Wanganui 133 (l lock 47; H Blackburn 6-16) lost to Manawatu 138-2 for S Simpson 57*, E Cameron 51*) by eight wickets.

Wellington v Horowhenua/ Kapiti

Horowhenua/Kapiti 98 (Leanne Cole 39*; S Ruck 3-15, K Arnold 3-25) drew with Wellington were 93-5 (A Cooper 25 *; P Gerrish 3-20)

Hutt Valley v Hawkes bay

Hutt Valley 121(N James 26; Zara Williams 2-8, S Duffill 2-20) lost to Hawke's Bay 122-1 (S Duffill 64*, K Sutherland 34*) by nine wickets.
