Scorecard
Worcestershire went back to the top of Division Two with a 71-run win over Yorkshire at New Road. Requiring 236 to win, Yorkshire were bundled out for 164 with Nantie Hayward and Gareth Batty grabbing four wickets apiece. Hayward dismissed both the openers, Christopher Taylor and Matthew Wood, for 14 with only 33 on the board and Yorkshire never recovered. Michael Lumb (23) and Victor Craven (24) did halt the slide for a while, but they were both spun out by Batty to leave Yorkshire starring down the barrel on 98 for 6. Batty and Hayward then went for the kill, leaving Richard Blakey fighting a lost cause on 31 not out. It was a tame ending to a fluctuating match which both sides felt they had a chance of winning. Chris Silverwood (5 for 63) earlier wrapped up Worcestershire's second innings for 251, but the target of 236 proved to be too many for Yorkshire, who slipped down to fourth place and now need to beat Gloucestershire in their last match to gain promotion.
