Tyron Henderson, Middlesex's South Africa allrounder, has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
"It's been a fantastic year for me at Middlesex," Henderson told the club's website, "and with such an exciting, talented young squad, I'm really looking forward to our winter tournaments in Antigua and India, and to helping Middlesex achieve more silverware in 2009."
Henderson has been a revelation for Middlesex, particularly in their Twenty20 Cup-winning campaign. He was second in the leading wicket-takers in this year's tournament with 21 at 16.61, but it was his extravagant batting which gave Middlesex an unlikely edge over their competitors.
A blistering 59 from 21 balls at No.3 helped fell Durham in the semi-final, before he produced a fine allround display in the final to loft Middlesex to their first title in 15 years.
