The Hong Kong Cricket Association is offering a Level 0 Coaching Course on 13 June 2009.

The Hong Kong Cricket Association is offering a Level 0 Coaching Course on 13 June 2009. Structured as a cricket 'lesson', course attendees will be introduced to simple techniques of batting, bowling and fielding through organisation of class and group activities, covering a minimum of 8 hours instruction.

Course attendees who complete the 8-hour course will be awarded an HKCA Level "0" Course Attendance Certificate. Those who then successfully complete a minimum of 6 hours internship will be awarded an HKCA Level "0" Coaching Certificate.

The aims of the HKCA Level 0 Coaching Course will be to:

  • To introduce the game of cricket to school teachers and others who, may not have any experience in, or knowledge of, the game.
  • To enable them to teach the basic skill of the games to children of primary and junior school age.
  • To show how the game of cricket has much to offer people of all ages, both in enjoyment and involvement.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The Level 0 Coaching Course, which is available for up to 30 candidates, will be conducted in English.

The course fee is HK$200 per person.

Applications for course attendance must be received by 8th June 2009.
