HKCA Level I Cricket Coaching Course
The Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA) will be running a Level I Cricket Coaching Course during March 2010.
The Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA) will be running a Level I Cricket Coaching Course during March 2010. The course, which includes 16 hours of instruction, is supported by the Hongkong Bank Foundation Coach Accreditation Programme.

Aims of the course:
1. To introduce the game of cricket to school teachers and others who, may not have any experience in, or knowledge of, the game.
2. To enable them to teach the basic skill of the games to children of primary and junior school age.
3. To show how the game of cricket has much to offer people of all ages, both in enjoyment and involvement.
Criteria of application:
1st: Parties who have passed Level O Coaching Course
2nd: Qualified P.E. Teachers
3rd: Cricketers
4th: Students in sports field
*Candidates would be selected by the above criteria's order if the number of applicants is over 20.
Syllabus: The course will cover a minimum of 16 hours instruction.
This will be considered as a most important basic Course. The main skills of cricket are taught on a Group Coaching basis and candidates must learn not only the mechanics of these skills, but also must be able to demonstrate them to a reasonable standard. Net Coaching Organization and practice is thoroughly covered during the 16 hours.
Examination: Showing skills as a coach - a fifteen to twenty minute session for each participant.
Course Venue: Pakistan Association of Hong Kong, 150 Princess Margaret Road, Kowloon
Entry Requirement: Age 18 or above
Course Fee: $400/ person
Course Capacity: 20 (Successful applicants will be informed by email)

Course Description:
- The Course is conducted in English
- Basic and important cricket information concerning cricketing terms and laws
- Basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding
- Coaching techniques and Cricket games
- Skills demonstration and Group coaching
- 30-hour internship (*see remarks)
Course Enrollment: Applications may be made over the counter at the HKCA office or via postal enrollment.
- For postal enrollment, please pay by crossed cheque and made payable to "Hong Kong Cricket Association" with completed application Form.
- For counter enrollment, please pay by cash at HKCA office.
- Full refund will be made for those who are not selected in the Course.
- No refund for successful applicants who were absent in the Course.

*Remarks:
(1) Candidates successfully completed 16 hour- Course will be awarded an HKCA level "0" Coaching Certificate.
(2) 30-hour internship must be finished within 12 MONTHS after completed the course.
(3) A final coaching assessment will be arranged upon the completion of 30-hour internship. Candidates successfully completed the Course with covering the 30-hour internship and the assessment will be awarded an HKCA level '1" Coaching Certificate.
