HKCA Vacancy - General Manager

To enable ongoing promotion, expansion and development, the Hong Kong Cricket Association is now recruiting an experienced administrator (a strong relevant background in sports administration would be a plus though not absolutely essential).

Working with the Chairman and Executive Committee, the successful candidate will ensure superior standards in running the HKCA offices, managing the finances and also facilitating smooth operations in order to achieve excellence in all sectors of the sport.

Playing a key role in the administrative direction of the Association, you will manage the financial planning process, legal compliance and identification of marketing opportunities to secure new revenue streams. You will also be required to build closer alignment with cricket in China. The National Coach will report to you on the performance of the national teams, on coach development and on spreading the game in the local community more widely.

Key Requirements:

• At least five years' general management, administration and operational experience with P&L responsibility(relevant experience in sports administration a plus though not absolutely essential);
• A team leader with a collaborative approach and an appreciation of and empathy for the workings of a Not For Profit;
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills;
• Liaison with government and external funding agencies;
• Identify and obtain potential sponsors and/or marketing partners;
• Ability to manage the Hong Kong International Cricket Sixes and other events;
• In addition to strong English communication skills (oral and written), ability to read and write Chinese as well as speak Cantonese and Mandarin essential.
