HKCA Vacancy: Cricket Officer (Job Ref: CO) / Cricket Assistant (Job Ref: CA)

The Hong Kong Cricket Association (HKCA) is the National Sport Association for cricket in Hong Kong. Our mission is to promote, expand and develop the sport of cricket in Hong Kong, improving standards in all sectors of the game (quality of play, facilities, administration, coaching) and increasing the participants of all sectors of the local community in cricket.

We are now looking for suitable candidate for the position of Cricket Officer to promote such role, with the objective to broaden the base of people playing cricket and reach out as far as possible to local communities and schools. If in case, the candidate does not meet all the aspects of required experience and qualifications, the offer may start from a junior position as the Cricket Assistant.

Job Description

• To promote cricket to local schools and universities through demonstrations and talks.
• To assist interested schools to form school teams.
• To form and manage a local school cricket league.
• To identify opportunities and promote cricket to the general community.
• To coordinate and drive the planning and implementation of cricket development projects/ad hoc cricket programmes (e.g. Community Sports Club Programme, Cricket Fun Day, Workshop, Coaching Course, Coaching Awards Night, etc.).
• To undertake co-ordination duties connected with the Association's development and coaching projects.
• To coordinate and liaise with other organizations (e.g. LCSD, HKSI, SF&OC, schools, district sports associations, etc.).

Qualifications

• Solid experience in cricket
• Actual coaching experience is a must for the Cricket Officer
• University degree holder
• Keen in sport
• Competent in both English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to work irregular hours
